 News The Baton Rouge Adventist Christian School Board wishes to announce the “Race to 100” campaign benefitting the Baton Rouge Adventist Christian School (BRACS) Endowment Fund. The mission of the endowment is to fund projects and programs that expand educational opportunities, foster creativity, and enhance academic experiences for all BRACS students. The BRACS Endowment Fund provides a practical way for families, alumni, businesses, and other concerned citizens to make a long-term investment in the quality of the school and, ultimately, our children's futures.
Below is a list of some identified areas of improvment that the BRACS Endowment Fund seeks to support: · 2 twelve-passenger vans
· Replace Activity Center walls & ceiling
· New Roof
· Remodel & Enhance student library
· New flooring
· Landscaping
· Playground equipment for middle-school
Curricular enhancements:
· Educational technology (software, Smartboards, Accelerated Reader, etc…)
· Video recording equipment to produce short films
· Part-time music instructor (band, strings, choir)
· Greenhouse for gardening program
· Science enrichment programs such as Weatherbug and/or Starlab
· Class/field trips
· Mission trips
· Foreign language curriculum
· Staff professional development
With the “Race to 100” campaign, we are seeking 100 individuals to commit to contribute $100 for a period of ten months. We are writing today, therefore, to ask you to consider joining the group of our most devoted supporters by signing up. With this donation, you would become an official member of the “Committee of 100” and thus you would receive our monthly newsletter and invitations to special events and gatherings. If the above amount is not possible, however, we would of course warmly welcome any monthly donation at the level of your choosing. Remember that your contributions are completely tax-deductible.
